Cottage, later converted into two. Probably late C17 or early C18, with probably later C18 addition. Some minor C19 alterations and late C20 internal alterations. Rendered cob with thatched roof, hipped to right and half-hipped to left. Rendered outshut at rear with lean-to Welsh slate roof. Rendered lateral stack to rear of left-hand end with chamfered offset, gault brick axial stack off-centre to right, and red brick end stack to right.
Plan: three-room plan, sited at right angles to road (facing south-west). Probably formerly two room cottage to left consisting of larger principal room (hall) to left with external lateral stack to rear, and smaller room to right with end stack (perhaps initially unheated). Probable later C18 one room plan addition (probably separate cottage) to right with integral end stack and entrance to front. Continuous outshut at rear, probably a C19 addition. C20 internal alterations included removal of dividing wall between central and left-hand ground floor room. Two storeys with one-storey outshut.
Exterior: asymmetrical three window front; late C19 or early C20 two-light wooden casements. Doorways off-centre to left and between first and second windows from right, both with late C20 six-panelled doors. Left-hand end wall with first and ground floor late C19 or early C20 two-light wooden casements.
Interior: few early features visible in ground-floor rooms at time of survey (December 1987). First floor rooms and roofspace not inspected.
