Farmhouse. Early C16 with later alterations and additions. Roughcast cob on stone footings; gabled-end shingle roof. Formerly a 3-room, through-passage plan house, the higher end to the left of the passage. The hall was originally open to the roof for one truncated jointed cruck truss remains, and this is lightly smoke- blackened. An inserted front lateral external stack with off-sets, rendered but probably all of stone with a moulded cap, now heats hall. Inner room was unheated. Service-end not inspected internally, but was probably heated by a now dismantled end stack. 2 storeys.
Front: irregular fenestration; all windows with PVC frames are set original embrasures; 1st floor with 2 windows to left of stack, and one ground floor with 2 windows to left of stack and entrance to passage Single storey outbuilding fronts onto service end. Rear, much altered with C20 wing to service end.
Interior; hall with one and one half ceiling beam, with composite moulding looks late C16 and one deeply chamfered unstopped beam,. probably C17. Remains jointed cruck over hall, cut off below collar, and lightly sooted.
