Farmhouse. Late C17 or early C18 with later alterations and additions. Roughcast
cob on stone footings; thatched roof, gabled-end to right, hipped over late C18
extension toleft. 2 room, through-passage plan house, with extension to left. End
stacks, that to the left now axial, both with brick shafts. Integral outshut and
rear wing. 2 storeys.
Front: the original house a symmetrical 3-window range, with large 2-light casement
windows and central hipped thatched open porch. Left-hand extension with 2-light
casement window to 1st floor, and a single light window below. All lst floor
windows under shallow eyebrow eaves; the casements largely late C19. The rear wing
retains the only original window (1st floor, at end), of 3 lights with chamfered
mullions and surround. 2- and 3-light C19 and C20 casement windows elsewhere to
rear.
Interior: deeply chamfered cross ceiling beam to both of the main rooms; the later
left-hand extension is now open to the roof, with one A-frame truss visible, and a
large upright support presumably late C20.
