Detached house, gable end to street. C17 and C18, much modified in C20.
Colour-washed thin bedded rubble, but rendered to main south front; thatched
roof. May have been cross-passage plan with outbuildings to left; is long
narrow block with return wing to left end, and two back extensions. Two
storeys, scattered fenestration, all C20 casements with diagonal leading; at
ground floor paired 2-light, then very prominent stepped buttress, single,
double and 3-light; at first floor three 2-light. Lean-to porch, left, cross
plank door with glazed panel. Gable stack right, ridge stack off-centre left.
Left end hipped. Right gable, on street has external straight stack and a small
blocked opening; to right a lower thatched outbuilding with plank door.
Interior mainly C20; pegged A-frame roof; near entrance a pair of rounded piers,
possibly part of earlier barn or outhouse. Glazed french doors, back.
