Former almshouses, now row of 4 cottages. 1869. Red brick with
yellow brick and ashlar quoins and dressings, coursed ironstone
rubble sides. Welsh slate roof having 2 large square ridge
stacks with yellow brick quoins. 2 storey, 5 bay front with
coped plinth, and yellow brick band, central bay slightly
advanced with ashlar quoins and raised stone coped gable with
finial. Central half glazed door recessed behind outer semi-
circular headed opening with keyed ashlar surround, flanked by
pairs of glazing bar casements. To first floor are 5 similar
windows. Windows either have segmental yellow brick arched heads
or are flush to eaves. In the central gable a recessed square
panel contains a shield bearing the Welby Arms, and to right hand
gable a stone bears the date 1869.
