Pair of semi-detached estate cottages. Mid C19. Coursed
ironstone rubble, ashlar plinth, quoins and dressings. Black
glazed pantile roof, raised stone coped gables with shaped
kneelers, tall paired octagonal brick gable stacks with moulded
tops. Single storey with garret, 4 bay front, having central
planked doors with ribbed stiles and timber lintels. The
doorways are linked by cornice moulding which also surrounds
shield bearing Welby Arms above the doors. The doors are flanked
by single 3 light chamfered mullioned windows with cornices. The
garret lights have fine cast iron lattice casements.
