House with attached barn. C16. Timber frames, house with
basketwork panelled pargetting on 1st floor and weatherboarding
on ground floor with a steep thatched roof hipped at N. Barn
weatherboarded with steep pitched roof now of black corrugated
iron. A 2 storeys, 2 windows house facing W with lower front
eaves at right and barn of equal height and width extending to
right (S) with projecting front outshut with catslide roof.
Flush casement windows to house, shallow canted bay window at
left and 4-panelled flush beaded door with moulded architrave,
hood board on brackets and open rustic porch. Red brick end
chimney. Interior has wide open fireplace with wooden lintol, 4-
panel doors, exposed beam and joists in N room, and exposed
timbers on upper floor. Barn has jowled posts, tension braces,
and remains of wattle and daub infill.
