House. C14 or C15, remodelled in the mid-to late C19. Timber framed,
of cruck construction, with plastered infill. Refaced or rebuilt in
red brick. Slate roof. Probably 3 framed bays. Two storeys and
gable-lit attic. Central brick ridge stack with 2 diagonally-placed
square shafts and integral brick end stack to left. 4-window front,
mainly C20 casements. Half-glazed door between second and third windows
from left and French casements to right. Full cruck truss exposed in
right-hand gable end with blades truncated above collar. One-storey
lean-to at rear. Interior not inspected but known to contain 4 full
cruck trusses. Alcock (1981) p. 143.
