Apsley Farmhouse

C18 and modern. Starting as a symmetrical facade (east) of 2 storeys and attic,
5 windows (later changed to 3), the house has been recently extended in matching
style, to the north and rear (west). Tile roof, brick dentil eaves, 3 flat roofed
dormers with sashes. The walling is in blue headers, with flush red brick dressings
(indicating the change of fenestration to fewer wider windows), cambered openings,
first floor band. Sashes; the north side has a 2-storeyed half-hexagonal bay (of
3 windows) with a parapet terminating in ball finials. Modern doorcase in decorative
Georgian style, with a cornice on brackets and 3-panelled door.
