House. Circa 1500 and c1600, with extensions and alterations of C18, late C19 and
C20. Mainly brick walls, and a tiled roof. Late medieval timber-framed hall of
4 bays, with insertion of fireplaces and upper floors (c1600), extensions at each end
of the C18 and C19, with restoration C20. One storey and attic, 5 above 6 windows.
Roof hipped at the north and half-hipped at the south ends, with lower north outshot
covered in felt; gabled dormers. The frame is exposed in the upper wall, with brick
infill and other walling (mostly Flemish bond with blue headers). Casements. Two
plain doorways with boarded doors, one beneath a tiled hood on posts. Inside the
cross walls indicate the insertion of the upper floor, and there are massive chimney
breasts.
