Farmhouse. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. Painted
brick and contemporary light timber frame with painted brick infill
to rear; graded slate roof. L-plan with short range to rear on right.
2 storeys and gable-lit attic with stepped eaves cornice. 3 segmental-
headed glazing bar sashes, 16-paned to ground floor, that to centre
in position of former doorway. Integral end stack to left and external
end stack to right with top rebuilt in late C20 red brick. Framing:
to rear, light rectangular panels right up to eaves including several
reused timbers. Entrance through wide gabled rear range in angle with
main range: 6-panel door with rectangular barred overlight in plain
pilastered doorcase under flat-roofed stone porch. Service range to
left of main range has dentilled eaves cornice and integral end stack.
2-storey lean-to in angle between main and rear ranges. Interior.
Chamfered and plain ceiling beams and joists to ground-and first-floor
rooms. Panelled window shutters to front. Framing exposed to cross
walls on first floor: vertical posts with light horizontal members
forming rectangular panels. Semi-winder staircase from ground floor
to first floor has turned newels and stick balusters to open string;
oak winder staircase from first floor to attic. Collar and tie beam
roof in 3 bays (visible in attic).
