Farmhouse. 1732 (datestone), re-modelled mid-C19. Uncoursed limestone
rubble with C19 red brick dressings, slate roof and integral end stacks
with red brick shafts. T-plan with range to rear a C19 addition.
2 storeys; 3 asymmetrical bays, windows all mid-C19 casements with
segmental brick heads and surrounds; wide gabled porch slightly to
left of centre has round-headed outer arch and C18 six-panel
inner door (top panels now glazed) in contemporary doorcase. Datestone
"RD/1732" between centre and right-hand windows on first floor.
Interior: not inspected but said to have timber framed cross wall.
The farmhouse, which retains most if its early 18 fabric, forms
a strong group with the adjacent barn (q.v.).
