Farmhouse and attached outbuilding. Probably late C17, extended late
C18 and partly re-modelled mid-C19 with later additions and alterations.
Farmhouse: uncoursed limestone rubble, slate roof. L-plan with C18
range at right-angles to rear on right, eaves raised to 2 storeys;
mid-C19 cast-iron casements to left and right of central boarded door,
ground-floor openings all with painted brick segmental heads;prominent
integral end stacks to right and to gable of rear range; gabled stone
addition to far right. Interior: chamfered spine beams and joists with
straight-cut stops in main ground-floor rooms with chamfered spine beam
to C18 range to rear; timber framed cross wall (irregular square panels)
and plank and muntin door between main ground-floor rooms;chamfered beam
over fireplace in right-hand ground-floor room. Outbuilding: attached
to left gable end; uncoursed limestone rubble probably replacing timber
frame (left gable end re-built in red brick), corrugated iron roof.
3 doors to ground floor and eaves hatch to right of centre. Interior:
single-purlin roof in 2 bays has central tie beam truss with raking struts
supporting principal rafters, wall posts.
