Detached cottage. C17 and later. Ham stone rubble with ashlar dressings; thatched roof with plain east gable, stepped
coped gable to west; brick chimney sticks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows in chamfered
recesses, without labels, 3-light lower bay 2 and 2-light lower bay 3, with 3-light horizontal bar casements to bay 1
and upper by 2; to upper bay 3 a 3-light rectangular-leaded-casement of C18 pattern; blocked doorway between bays 1/2,
and slight break-back to bay 3 which is set slightly higher and may represent a C18 addition. East gable has two
3-light mullioned windows, the lower with label, with further 2-light window without label in rear outshut, beyond
which is a cambered-arched doorway in a single-storey extension, presumably relocated. Interior not seen, but reported
are narrow- chamfered beams with step and runout stops, collar trussed roof; timber framed partition between 2 parts of
house; timber-framed firehood with partly timber-framed fireplace under; unusual carved corbel or post head in west
section, ground floor. (SSAVBRG Report, unpublished SR0, 1982).
