House. C19 facade with probable earlier origin. Gault brick. Hipped grey
slate roof with projecting eaves. Lion heads to gutter. Band under.
Symmetrically placed gault brick chimney stacks to right and left. 2 storeys.
6 gault brick pilaster strips with moulded capitals and bases. 5 window range
to first floor of small paned vertically sliding sashes with gauged brick arches
and stucco cills. 1:2 window range to ground floor of large 2 light vertically
sliding sashes with stucco surrounds, moulded canopies and moulded scroll
brackets. Reveal panels to recessed 5 panelled door, semi-circular light with
tracery over. Moulded stucco surround with arched head. Plaque to eaves
cornice reads DHH 1849 JMH.
