EAST PORTLEMOUTH,

Small house. Circa mid - later C17 with C20 addition. Plastered stone rubble
walls. Gable ended thatch roof. Rendered rubble stack at each end, right-hand
one has a brick shaft.
Plan: Two-room and through-passage plan with both rooms roughly equal size and
heated by a fireplace in each end wall. C20 addition at left-hand end.
Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front of C20 1, 2 and 3-light
casements. Probably C19 open-fronted thatched porch to left of centre with C20
part-glazed door behind C20 2-storey flat-roofed addition at left-hand end.
Interior: inaccessible at time of survey but likely to contain original ceiling
beams and fireplaces.
