GV II

House, former farmhouse. C.1600 and possibly earlier, timber framed and
plastered. Clay pantile roof with some blue/black tiles, gabled at west and
hipped at East end. Of 2 storeys with single storey stair lean-to on back
with clay pantiles and further lean-to porch with peg tiles. Off centre
rectangular red brick ridgeline stack over inglenook and tall thin stack through
roof of rear lean-to. Front has patches of old pargetting. Baffle-entry plan
type with jowled storey posts, halved and bladed scarf joints and possible
remains of parlour wall incorporated from earlier structure.
