Farmhouse. Late C16, enlarged C17, altered C18, enlarged and altered 1933.
Flint plinth and brick and flint walls. Thatched roof. South front of 2
storeys and dormer attic. C20 door right of centre with one 3-light C20
segmental headed window to right and 2 to left. 5 C18 casements to first
floor. Western bay with one first floor window is addition of 1933. Gabled
roof with 3 sloping dormers and casements arranged symmetically over pre-C20
extent of house. East and west gables raised 1933 and stepped, that to east
with internal stack. 2 ridge stacks left of centre. North front of 2
storeys. Full height C16 brick porch left of centre of square plan. Round
arched doorway on square responds and set within pair of pilasters rising
to linear entablature. Over entablature 2 round arches. Walls set-off at
this, first floor level. 2-light first floor window below hood mould on
labels. Original straight gable corbelled out and raised and stepped 1933.
C16 walling to left of porch pierced by 2 casements at ground floor. To
right of porch one bay C16 walling with C20 casement in reduced opening.
Second bay of C17 chequered brickwork extending over first floor. Platband
at first floor. Further C20 ground floor casement and 3 C18 casements to first
floor. 2 small first floor windows in final 1933 bay. Interior entirely
C20.
