Cottage. Mid C17 with C18 and C19 additions. Coursed flint with brick
dressings. Pantile roof. Single cell plan with C18 side addition more than
doubling the length. 2 storeys with former attic. South facade with 3 late
C20 windows with glazing bars beneath reconstructed rectangular hood moulds
and with renewed dressings to ground floor. Modern doorway to left beneath
segmental arch. C18 dentil cornice and C18 roof at low pitch. Surviving C17
moulded brick gable corbel. Eastern gable-end with 4 small windows beneath
rectangular hood moulds, 2 with roughly shaped brick mullions. Gable-end
stack. Additions to north and west not of special interest. Interior.
Principal beams with ogee and nicked chamfer stops. Window lintels with
similar decoration. Original winding stair beside stack from first floor to
former attic. C17 arched and chamfered fireplace to first floor with
contemporary painted decoration above consisting of Fleur-de-Lys motifs
flanking a medallion.
