Mill or store and house, now one dwelling. Main front, facing south, in
two parts, to left is C18 and to right Cl9. Left half in brick, previously
rendered or limewashed, mansard roof with concrete tile, and left of this
C19 stable block with concrete tile roof. Two storeys and attic, 2-windowed
two C20 dormers, good C18 sashes with glazing bars at first floor, one 16-
pane C19 sash and one 2-light casement with horizontal glazing bars, ground
floor with off-centre right 6-paned door, of which 4-glazed, in reveal,
all openings with brick voussoirs; at back, on Almshouse Lane, and C18 sash
and two smaller openings. Right half, early C19. Ashlar, concrete tile
and Welsh slate mansard roof, stone stack with moulded capping to right
gable. Two storeys, attic and basement, one windowed, good 16-pane sashes
with broad surrounds and C20 dormer, also left small 2-light leaded casement
and wide plank door, these both to wood lintols; at back, on Almshouse Lane,
main wall with one wide plank door to wood lintol and a basement opening
in plinth, right. This property relates to the former Abbey Corn mill,
opposite, which was demolished within living memory.
