GV II
Inn, now house and shop. Early C19. Fine ashlar with single plinth
and mid string course, concrete tile roof. Two storeys, 3 + 1- windowed:
at ground floor, far left, large carriage opening under flat segmental
arch with keystone tied to string, then late C20 shop-front and plate
glass sash left, 6-pane sash right of blocked former doorway. At
first floor 3 + 1 plate glass pasoles. Door now at back of premises,
where also much modified wing. Three rebuilt brick ridge stacks. This
was in part formerly the Unicorn Inn, and appears to have been built at
the same time as No 4 adjoining (q.v.).
