Large detached house. C18, C19 extension but possibly on earlier body. Lime-
stone, ashlar, stone slate roof. Lofty main range with one bay extension to
left slightly set-back and to lower ridge; roof sweeps down at back of main
block, possibly over stair, and there is a one-storey gabled extension. 1 + 3
windows, mainly 12-pane sashes to stone sills, but portico flanked by 16-pane,
and a 16-pane above. Ground floor outer have moulded architraves and first
floor outer to moulded sills. Central to main block a 6-panel fielded door in
Roman Doric portico to flat entablature, and with responds. There are remains
of chamfered-surround casements at first floor in bays 1 and 3. The window top
left has projecting stone balcony slab to moulded edge and with interlaced
cast-iron railing. Gable and off-centre left stacks, all to moulded cappings.
contemporary shutters to windows, but interior not inspected.
