Farmhouse circa 1700. Painted rendered stone rubble and cob. Hipped slate roof.
Axial rendered stack.
Plan: unusually a 3-room and lobby entry plan with massive stack heating parlour to
right and hall/kitchen to left, with narrow unheated inner room to left lower end.
Staircase to rear of stack with access from hall/kitchen. Parlour is divided axially
towards the rear to create a small rear room. 2-storey outshut, probably c19 and
leanto at left end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 3-window range. All C20 3-light casements. Early C20 gabled
porch with ogee style lintel.
Interior. Largely unspoilt. Good original moulded plaster cornice to parlour.
Scratch-moulded joists to hall/kitchen with thin chamfered bressumer and fireplace
lintel. C19 integral cupboard in front wall. Early joinery intact throughout,
including a full compliment of doors to the upper storey chambers of raised and
fielded 2- and 3-panelled doors and one 3-plank door. The chamber over the hall has
an integral hanging cupboard beside the stack in plank and muntin style with scratch-
moulded planks; this is a rare survival. Pegged A-frame roof trusses with lapped
pegged collars, the rafters replaced in C20.
