Gate Lodge, early C20. Squared tooled stone with tooled-and-margined ashlar
dressings; timber-framed gables with pebbledashed infill; red clay tile roof.
Free Tudor style. L-p]an. 1 storey, 2 bays. Projecting left bay has canted
end with three 2-light windows and pyramidal roof. Right bay has 3 steps up
to vertical-panelled door in chamfered 3-centred arch. Left return shows two
9-pane shorter sashes. Right return shows 3-light window under gable with
vertical studding and moulded bargeboards. Similar gabled right bay of rear
elevation, which has a basement.
