Farmhouse. Possibly C17 or C18', heavily altered early C19, later
alterations. Roughly squared, coursed stone, stone slate roof.
Three-unit long, 2 rooms deep, 1 1/2 to 2 storeys, wing off one end.
Entrance front: three gables in continuous facade. Plinth: on
left projecting chimney, offsets at eaves and ridge levels, 2-light
casement window each floor to right, semi-circular heads to lights,
deep stone lintels: parapet gable. Single-storey projecting
ashlar porch, 3-centred arch with sunk spandrels, over 6-panel
door; plain parapet, flat roof. Above, similar window to left,
but with hoodmould, parapet linking gables over. To right, 3-light
wooden mullion and transom window, semi-circular heads to lights,
sunk spandrels, hoodmould: similar 2-light above, parapet gable,
cross-gablet apex. Narrow, similar 2-light window to right, plain
parapet above linking between gables. Lower 3-light similar
window, smaller 2-light over, parapet gable, ridge chimney with
cyma moulding. Wall to wing on right continues main wall: stable
door with deep stone lintel; single, 3-light casement window,
timber lintel; 2 similar windows above. Possibly originally U
plan, courtyard later infilled with narrower gable.
