Former farmhouse, now 3 attached houses. Probably Cl8, altered
early C19, C20, containing reused earlier work. Course, squared
stone, Welsh slate to longer range, stone slate shorter. Five-
window, 2 1/2 storey block, 3-window, 2-storey extension on end, all
one room deep. Plinth: sash window with hoodmould on left; 4-
panel door, top 2 glazed, deep stone lintel, hoodmould; sash
window, ovolo moulding to upper part jambs and head, hoodmould.
Sill to this and window to left lowered. Slit window; blocked
window; small window in blocked doorway, deep stone lintel,
hoodmould. Boarded door, 3-pane rectangular light over, upper part
jambs and head ovolo moulded; hoodmould (former window). Above
five 6-pane sashes, hoodmoulds, jambs and heads all ovolo moulded
except centre window. Four gabled dormers, single-pane windows
except one on right, 2-light casement. Parapet gables, chimney on
left end on ridge, and 2 bays from right. To right, lower range:
2-light casement; boarded door, deep stone lintel, shallow 2-light
mullion window over with hoodmould; 3-light casement with deep
stone lintel and hoodmould. Above two 3-light casements, 2-light
between. Parapet gable right end, ridge chimney to right of
doorway. Probably contains reused material from Hailes Abbey,
demolished C18. Low wings each end not of special interest.
