Pair of houses. East house late C16/early C17, altered and heightened in later
C18; west house mid-C17, altered mid-C20. Both houses rubble with roughly-
shaped quoins and cut dressings; Welsh slate roofs. East house 3 storeys, 3
bays, irregular: right-of-centre doorway (now glazed) in moulded surround with
flat-pointed head in square frame and heavy irregular dressings. Flanking late
C19 canted bay windows, with 4-pane sashes in stop-chamfered surrounds, and
moulded cornices. Upper floors have 4-pane sash windows in raised stone surrounds.
Coped gables with stepped end stacks. At right, late C19 half-timbered porch with
decorative leaded glazing. Left (west) house 2 storeys + attic, 1 bay. Projecting
C20 ground floor not of interest. 3-light and 2-light chamfered mullioned
windows with hoodmoulds to 1st floor; attic dormer with similar 3-light window
and coped gable with ornamental finials. Stepped left end stack.
Parallel block at rear of east house, and wing behind west house, C19, altered
and not of interest.
