House, late C18 with extensions c.1920 by Dixons of Newcastle. Rubble with
raised quoins and dressings; graduated Lakeland slate roof. Double-span plan.
North elevation 2 storeys, 5 + 2 bays. Main part symmetrical. Plinth. 2
steps up to central flush-panelled door with 3-pane overlight; 12-pane sash
windows; all openings in raised stone surrounds. Coped gables with stepped
and corniced end stacks. To right, early C20 flat-roofed projection has
similar windows, re-set. South elevation: main part has central old half-glazed
door with 12-pane sash over, flanked by early C20 full-height canted bays;
embattled parapet.

Interior: remodelled early C20 but retains open-string stair with stick balusters
moulded newel and handrail.
