Small house: 1848 for the National Co-operative Land Company by F.
O'Connor, later alterations. Flemish bond brickwork on stone
plinth, chamfered top, slate roof. Three-bay, 16 rooms deep, with
rear extension: single storey. Centre bay projects slightly, with
gable over; fully glazed late C20 door, up 2 stone steps, flat
rubbed brick arch; narrow single-light casements each side, 2-
light casements in wings, flat rubbed brick arch over each; late
C20 windows. Plain string course to base of gable: stone
quatrefoil ventilator over: slightly projecting brick course to
verge, and to eaves of wings. Plain verge rafter on shaped corbels
at front. Brick chimneys to end gables and to centre at rear.
Originally with 4-acre plot. Listed principally for historical and
sociological interest; forms group with other Chartist cottages
(q.v.).
