GV II
Two cottages, once four; at one time used as the Poor House. The rear part is
of C17 origin, most of the building is late C18 and early C19. Walls of brick-
work in Monk bond with blue headers, some Flemish Garden Wall bond, flint walls
with brick dressings: high stepped plinth. Tile roof, catslide at rear, gabled
dormers. North-east front of one storey and attic, 3 windows. Casements. Two
boarded doors (No 58), another blocked (No 56). To the rear there is a taller
block at right-angles, of two storeys and attic: flint walls, casements, with a
plain entrance (No 56). This rear part has a C17 beam inside.
