House. C18, with early and late C19 alterations and extensions. Painted brick
walls of Flemish bond, with hoodmoulds added to the original openings, plinth.
Steep slate roof, 2 flat-roofed (late C19) dormers. East front: formerly
symmetrical, 2 storeys, 5 windows but has a south side extension of 2 windows
in matching style. Casements, with pointed top lights. C18 doorcase in the
Doric order, with open pediment, pilasters, oval-arched doorway with radiating
fanlight and panelled reveals, 6-panelled door. There are substantial (C19)
additions at the rear, with gabled tile roofs, brick walls, casements and sashes,
and a single-storeyed wing (laundry) extending forward at the north end.
