Lowfields Cottage and barn, (formerly listed as Lowfield)

Cottage and barn. Dated 1739. Rendered rubble, stone dressings, stone slate
roof. South front 2 storey, 2 bays. Blocked left-hand entrance. To right is
5-light flat-faced mullioned window with C20 casements and fixed lights. On
upper floor are two 2-light flat-faced mullioned windows with casements between
a datestone with scrolled shield in bas relief inscribed:

Right hand ridge stack. At rear is right-hand entrance shared with Lowfields
Park (qv) on square blocks; plank door. To left is adjoining C18 barn. Slobbered
rubble, stone dressings, slate roof. 2 bays. Stable entrance to left, waggon
entrance to right with plain segmental head and keystone. On upper floor is
keyed pitching eye to left and square window to right. Left-hand shaped kneeler.
