3 houses. C17; No.44 partly occupies circa late C18 or early
C19 extension. Timber-framing and brick with tile roof. Framed
in square panels. Comprises a main range with a jettied
cross-wing projecting forwards at the right. Two storeys. Main
range of four bays, the ground floor underbuilt in brick.
Above
two rows of square panels are exposed with a pair of straight
braces to the wall-plate. Doors between first and second bays
and in fourth bay. The cross-wing is of one bay and has a
moulded jetty bressummer and tie-beam. The truss has two
vertical struts between tie-beam and collar. Chimneys to right
of second bay and on right-hand wall of cross-wing.
No.44 occupies rear of cross-wing and circa late C18 or early
C19 painted brick range on right [south] ; 2 storeys, 2 bays,
sashes replaced with plastic windows, central doorway with
plank door.
