House and shop. C14 or C15, with C16 additions; further C20 alterations.
Close-studded timber-framing with wattle-and-daub infill on sandstone rubble
plinth; Welsh slate roof. Hall range of three bays aligned east/west with
cross-wing at west end, axial stack. Two-storey cross-wing to left with
jettied upper floor on moulded bressummer and curved brackets; one 5-light
bay window to first floor, similar larger 5-light window to ground floor.
Single storey and attic hall range to right with two 3-light, one 2-light
and one 4-light window to left of ledged stable door; 6-pane shop window
to right of door with pentice over door and window. Interior of hall range
retains four cruck trusses. (RCHM,-Vol III, p 166, item 34).
