1/90 Twyford Road Canal Bridge

Canal bridge. Late C18. Coursed squared marlstone with ashlar dressings. Wide
segmental arch has projecting wedge-shaped impost blocks and keyblock iinked by
an ashlar hood; plain parapets rise over the arch and splay outwards to square
piers. A cast-iron plate on the northern face is inscribed "177". A large plate
on the inner face of the parapet bears a warning to traction-engine drivers.
