1/94 Bridge at King's Sutton Lock

Canal bridge. Late C18 repaired C20. Brick with limestone details. Depressed
arch has a half-brick hood course springing from projecting limestone impost
blocks. Plain rebuilt parapets rise over the arch and curve outwards to square
brick piers. A cast-iron plate on the south face is inscribed "179"; on the
north face a limestone keyblock is inscribed "149". Forms a close group with
King's Sutton Lock (q.v.), the lock-keeper's cottage (q.v.) and a canal building
(q.v.).
