2 houses. The Bakery Cottage to the right is probably of C16 origin, with late
C18/early C19 rear range and alterations. C20 alterations. Blenco Brow is mid
C18 and mid C19. Squared coursed ironstone. Old tile roofs; rear range of The
Bakery Cottage has coped gable parapets with kneelers to left, brick ridge and
end stacks. T-plan, with wing to rear. 2 storeys. The Bakery Cottage is a
3-window range. Part-glazed 6-panelled door. C20 canopy with metal supports.
French window to left has glazing bars. Small 2-light casement to right has
horizontal glazing bars. First floor has 2-light C20 casements. Right windows
have stone flat arches with keystones. Other openings have wood lintels. To
rear: 3-window range. C20 panelled door. Old 3-light casements with glazing
bars. C20 first floor windows. Interior: former through passage, now opening
into rear range, has moulded stone 4-centre arched doorway. Former open
fireplace. Broad stop-chamfered beams throughout. Timber framed partition on
first floor has simple arched former doorway. Blanco Brow to left has C19 front
range of regular coursed ironstone. 3-window range, with cross gable to right.
Half-glazed door between second and third bays has open porch with semi-circular
metal hood. Stone mullioned 2-light central ground floor 3-light windows. To
rear: 2-window main range has part-glazed 6-panelled door. 2 and 3-light
casements. Ground floor openings have segmental relieving arches. Wing on left
has 2-light casements on right return side. Horizontal glazing bars and painted
wood lintels throughout. Interior not inspected.
