6/41 Timber Cottage

GV II

House. Probably C15 and later. Timber framed with black weatherboarding and
gabled pantile roof with Suffolk verge detail. Central C19 stack forward of
ridge line. Front has C20 small pane casements and a large flat roofed garage
extension at the north end wraps across part of the front. Originally a low
open hall structure with jowled posts, cambered tie beams and external wall
bracing, raised and extended in the C18 or C19. Braces are very low mounted and
stud spacing very wide.
