Manor house, now two dwellings. C16. Rendered, double roman tile right and
concrete tile, left and similarly to back, three small brick stacks. A T-plan
building with wide gable to front, and with gabled stair turret far right,
in addition to deep wing. Front has 2½ storeys, with 2 late C20 aluminium
casements over one similar and aluminium glazed door; Manor house has 2-light
casement under framed and moulded bull's-eye to gable, then 2-windowed, 3-light
and 2-light over 2-light and 3-light chamfered mullion stone casements, with
arched heads and stopped drips; centrally a late C20 door and porch. Return
gable, right has stopped bull's-eye, and two small lights plus one blocked,
two of three to staircase.
Interior of Manor house has fine large bressummer fireplace with 2-flight spiral
stair, some solid treads; at upper level some timber framing between front
block and projecting wing. In ground floor room, right, heavy beam and rafter
ceiling. Original 2-purlin roof structure. Although one half is now much
modernised, still an important survival.
