Mid C19, incorporating old spring head (the Spout after which Spout Cottage
is named). Drystone wall about 5 ft 6 ins high. The spring head at its
north-western end is in an arched recess of dressed stones and the water
collects in a D-plan stone trough below it. A built-up recess to south-east
contains the pump; it is built of large squared stones and a lintel; plain
pump with handle, about 1900.
