House. Late C18 with earlier origins. Timber-framed with red
Flemish-bond brick front with plain parapet. Gabled concrete
pantile roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics and cellars. Front has 2
flat-roofed dormers with cross-glazing pattern casements.
First floor has one flush double-hung sash window with small
panes and rubbed brick flat arch, either side of a central
blind window. Ground floor has 2 similar windows and central
doorcase with Ionic cornice and entablature over eared
architrave. Six-panel door, 2 upper panels glazed, is slightly
recessed at head of 3 stone steps. Glazed cellar light within
high plinth fronted with wrought-iron bars. Parapet rendered
and raised brick bands below this and between storeys. Suffolk
verge board to north-west gable and 2 very tall stacks behind
rear wall.
To the rear is a low 2-storey block under catslide concrete
tile roof and 3-storey hipped concrete tile roofed stair
tower. Windows here are double-hung sashes with 2 vertical
glazing bars.
INTERIOR: an eared architraved fire surround and old doors
with butterfly hinges.
