Two houses, possibly service buildings to No.1 Queen Square
(qv), now house and office. Late C18, altered C19. Sandstone
ashlar in narrow courses with slate roof, hipped at the left.
A symmetrical composition of 2 storeys and 3 bays with
chamfered quoins and a cornice. The windows have plain stone
surrounds. On the ground floor are paired sashes without
glazing bars, separated by flat-faced mullions, in the central
bay is a blind panel in a stone surround. The 1st-floor
windows are glazing bar sashes. The doorways, at the outer
sides of the facade, have plain stone surrounds, 4-panel
doors, and plain overlights. The left-hand return wall
includes a 2-storey loading slot with stone surround under a
projecting gable. It is now blocked and contains a 1st-floor
window.
