Large town house. Early/mid C18. Red brick with keyed
segmental arches; hipped rag slate roof with pediment to front
and central pedimental roof dormer to each of the other
elevations; modillioned and moulded wooden eaves cornice.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attics over basement;
symmetrical 1:3:1-bay west front. Original 12-pane hornless
sashes with thick glazing bars exept for some C20 copies;
oculus to pediment. Central wooden pedimented doorcase with
consoles and pulvinated frieze; later Gothic style panelled
door; steps up from either side of landing in front of doorway
and vase turned balustrade. Rear 5-window elevation has
central Ionic distyle pedimented wooden porch plus doorway
inserted to former window at far right with Gothic style
panelled door. INTERIOR: Original open-well open string stair
with 3 turned balusters per tread and ramped handrail and fine

date with features of high quality both inside and out.
