Range of shops and flats. c1680 with various C18 and C19
alterations, particularly to fenestration. Brick, rendered and
whitewashed to facade. Roof of black glazed pantiles. 2
storeys and dormer attic. 3 doorways punctuate ground floor
and define separate properties. No.24 has 3 bays. Half-glazed
door under flat hood is flanked by one 3-light C19 cross
casement either side. Directly above these are two 3-light
casements with glazing bars. No.26 has 2 bays. Panelled door
surround and hipped hood on pair of scrolled brackets. Frieze
with Vitruvian scroll plaster decoration. One 4-light C19
cross casement to left of door, and, above it, a 3-light C18
casement similar to those of 24. No.28 in 3 bays. Door with
moulded case and flat hood and 4-vaned fanlight. One C19
three-light cross casement right and left, repeated
immediately above. Continuous bell-based roof carrying 2
gabled dormers lit through C18 casements with glazing bars and
enriched with C19 decorative bargeboards. Central stack on
rear roof slope. South gable is shaped to the street but swept
into outshut gable to rear. Internal stack rises out of its
apex. INTERIOR. Not fully inspected. Ground floor bridging
beams, particularly to centre have plaster decoration.
Remainder of interior probably of interest.
