Former inn, now a restaurant. C18, refronted in mid C19.
Stucco with corrugated asbestos roof. Double-depth plan at
right-angles to street. 3 storeys with attic; 3-window range.
The 2 ranges to the left form a symmetrical facade and that to
the right is over a former carriage entrance. Plain pilasters
and cornice band. Horned sash windows are set in raised
surrounds with slightly pointed tops. A high parapet wall
sweeps up to and over a 6/6-pane attic window to left of
centre with similar windows to the upper floors on the right;
4/4-panes to those on the left. In a wide space under the
attic window is a low-relief plaster horse which was the
trademark of the brewery. Three 6/6-pane windows to the left
of the ground floor and a C20 door to the right. The rendered
rear is C19. INTERIOR not inspected.
