II
Bridge over Threshfield Beck. Early - mid C19. Rusticated punch-dressed
ashlar. A single segmental arch composed of massive voussoirs and
keystone, flanked by pilasters which are carried up as bollards to the
parapet which has incised horizontal tooling. Cylindrical bollards to each
end. Records at Netherside Hall (q.v.) suggest that this bridge was built
in 1816 by a member of the Nowell family.
