Barn and byre with hayloft or granary over. Probably c1734 (as farmhouse,
q.v.) Limestone rubble, ashlar details, graduated stone slate roof.
Approximately 4 bays with outshut and cart porch to bays 1 and 2. Quoins.
Double doors to inner cart entrance; round outer arch, rebuilt. Byre door
far right has tripartite jambs and a large lintel; 2 small windows to its
left and a small square window to first floor. Shaped kneelers, gable
copings. Right return: on the left a well-built flight of external steps
with flat-coped side walls rises to board first-floor door with quoined
jambs; board door to dog-kennel entrance under steps; 3 rows of pigeon
holes to gable, left; 2 rows of through stones. Included for group value.
