House. Late C16/early C17. Squared stone front, rubble stone otherwise, with
Collyweston stone slate roof, coped gables and stone end stacks with brick shafts.
Main block and cross-wing, 2 storeys and attics. Main block, with cornice, has off-
centre panelled door in late C18 round-headed architrave with keystone, 8/8 sash
windows to ground and first floors to left, and tall 6/6 window to right. Cross-wing
has 4-light chamfered stone mullioned window to basement, 2 6/6 sashes to ground
floor, another 6/6 sash above and a 2-light ovolo-moulded stone mullioned window in
the gable. Rear has a 2-storeyed gabled porch with round-headed entrance arch flanked
by Doric columns carrying entablature, which continues over another round-headed arch
to the left, now window but apparently originally open. Four-light ovolo-moulded
stone-mullioned window above entrance. Rear face of cross-wing has a 2-light ovolo-
moulded window with cornice, a 4-light ovolo-moulded window with transom, then a
similar window without transom and finally a single-light chamfered opening. Upper
part of gable rendered. Lower gabled wing, rendered, projects from rear to right of
porch.
