Cottage. C17 with C19 alterations. Timber framed with brick infill
and brick rebuilding; plain tile roof; brick integral end stacks. Aligned
north-south facing west. 2 storeys; irregular fenestration, casements
to ground floor left and first floor centre. Glazed lean-to porch in
front of a boarded door and a casement. Part of a tension brace and
other fragments of framing to first floor left. C17 single storey brick
extension with one casement and engineering brick stack. Exposed king-
post roof truss to right hand gable with one pair of purlins and ridge
piece. No. 2 Schoefield Lane is attached to the right hand side of
No. 1 (q.v.) and is included for group value.
