Cottage and house with workshop, late C18. Coursed squared tooled sandstone;
pantiled roof with stone stacks and trim. Two storeys, 2 wide bays to Stonelea,
at left, has boarded door to right of ground floor window. No 15 has an
inserted top-glazed, 6-panel door and, at right, a workshop entrance-of boarded
double doors under an elliptical arch with cut voussoirs. Sash windows with
glazing bars in wood architraves. At first floor a large wood signboard with
raised letters: W HARBOTTLE & SON, JOINERS & UNDERTAKERS. Stone gable copings
on square kneelers. Left end corniced chimney. Left return of Stonelea shows a
square oriel on first floor. East and south walls of burial ground, probably
C18 and early C19. Coursed, squared tooled stone; chamfered coping to south
wall, flat coping to east. Ogee-capped piers at corners of front wall and to
central C20 wood gate. Flat buttresses to rear of front wall.
